Heems premiers “Sometimes”

Heems delivers the first single from his upcoming album debut as a solo artist.  The former Das Racist MC will drop the LP – Eat, Pray, Thug on March 10th.  Produced by Gordon Voidwell, “Sometimes” tackles “dualities, identity, and the space between spaces” according to a statement released by Himanshu Suri (AKA Heems).  He expresses the conflicting emotions and cultures that he encounters living as a first generation Indian-American in the U.S.  Fittingly, the album was recorded in both Brooklyn and Bombay and will include features by Harry Fraud, Boody B, and the guitar works of Dev Hynes from Blood Orange.  No word on the newly adopted alias “Deepak Choppa” that appears on the single’s credits.
